The research you purchase
Your purchase covers genealogical research for one applicant and one direct ancestral line, up to three parent-child links. The Canada package is $2,000 USD and includes coordination of up to six named record requests. The Italy package is $4,000 USD and includes coordination of up to ten named record requests. The service fee is paid in full upfront.
One named request means one specified record from one issuing office for one person or event. Routine follow-ups and resubmissions for that same record do not count as new requests. Canada research covers Canadian and US sources; Italy research covers Italian and US sources, within the stated line and request limits. Research in other countries requires a separate agreed scope.
Your deliverable is a sourced family-line chart, an organized digital file of available records, a research and procurement log, and factual notes identifying discrepancies, missing records and unresolved links. A search can produce a documented negative result. We don't guarantee that any particular record exists, is accessible or will be issued.
Order review and acceptance
We review your starting information within two business days and send a written research plan for your acceptance before substantive research begins. The plan identifies the line, searches, named requests, expected schedule, known limitations and the portion of your service fee assigned to each delivery milestone. Those milestone amounts cannot exceed the fee you paid. You may decline the plan for a full refund. If we can't accept the assignment within the purchased scope, we refund the service fee in full. If different or preliminary research is needed, we'll offer a revised scope for your approval. You may decline it and receive a full refund before research starts.
Expenses and additional work
Registrar and archive fees, certified copies, government fees, apostilles, translation, shipping and legal services are separate from the service fee. We seek your approval and advance funding before incurring third-party expenses. Additional applicants, generations, record requests, corrections requiring separate proceedings, and work beyond the agreed plan require a separate written quote. We won't add these charges automatically.
What the service does not include
This dossier is genealogical research and record procurement. It is not legal advice, and it is not a determination that anyone is eligible for citizenship. Eligibility is decided by the authority that receives the application, under the law applicable to the case.
Government fee and refund policies depend on the authority and fee type. Anne & Joachim Heritage Press does not promise the outcome of any application.
We don't select or complete citizenship application forms, determine your legal route, file an application, represent you, or provide an individualized filing opinion. You engage and pay any lawyer or other qualified adviser separately. When an adviser supplies an evidence list, our research follows the agreed factual specification.
Timing and updates
Research timing depends on the starting information and record access. We confirm the schedule in your research plan and update you at agreed milestones. Government offices and archives control their own response times. Citizenship processing and later application support are separate from our delivery.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel for a full refund before you accept the written plan and substantive research begins. If we decline the assignment, the service fee is refunded in full. After research begins, only completed milestones are earned at the amounts you accepted in the written plan. We provide an itemized account and return the fees assigned to incomplete milestones and any unused expense advances. Third-party expenses already authorized and paid may not be recoverable. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
An unsuccessful search or citizenship outcome alone does not mean the agreed research work was not performed. We correct errors in our own deliverable without an additional research fee. We initiate agreed refunds within five business days to the original payment method. Your bank or card provider controls when the credit appears. Ask for a cancellation or refund by email, including your order reference.
Your information and materials
You confirm that you're at least 18 and authorized to request the work and share the information you provide. Don't upload identity documents or send sensitive documents through ordinary email at checkout. We'll arrange an appropriate way to exchange any necessary records. Your family file is private. We won't publish living-person information without written permission.
Payment and order records
Stripe handles payment details. Your statement and receipt may identify Anne & Joachim Heritage Press. We retain the order, accepted terms and payment records needed to administer the service. A browser confirmation or saved inquiry alone is not proof that a payment succeeded.
